That property is owned by the same company that recently pulled out of the plans to build on Wellington on the site of the Family Circle restaurant as well.

That's a shame. Means the parking lot is here to stay until a real developer with deep pockets gives them an offer for the land they can't refuse. It's a perfect location for 40+ towers. Maybe one of the GTA high rise condo developers will finally spread their wings and enter the London market given the high population growth and demand from ex-pat GTAers.

Here's a pic I took of the finished Drewlo building behind Rona. Looks like they are prepping the other side for another tower.

Old Oak is extending the tower crane rails and has already moved the crane to the east end of the current Mosiak building. Working on the underground parking garage and expanding the pit eastward for the next 5 story building. Looks like Concrete Forming will be kept busy here as well.

Drewlo has nearly finished the 12th floor walls on their building behind the Rona/Farm Boy. Would imagine they plan to move this tower crane and concrete crew to their 16s project on Talbot St as soon as they can. Suspect this is only a 12s building so only the mechanical penthouse and roofing left to do.

Drewlo is topping out the 12s behind the Farm Boy with the mechanical penthouse now. Wonder if they will turn around this tower crane so fast to move it to Talbot or if they have another crane available to be setup on Talbot?

Oh, my bad. I do work for Drewlo and also service half the apartments in London so its hard to keep track of whats where anymore. The one you mention behind Rona, to me I refer it as the Capulet buildings.

I strongly agree with you that the Core needs a grocery store but` equally strongly disagree with Centro being the location.

There is many reasons why grocery stores don't locate at the base of condos. Even the 3 big ones in Vancouver's high density West End don't have them. They are logistical nightmares with parking and loading, they create too much entry/exit problems conflicting with the residents, and the they have trucks un/loading their supplies night and day creating too much noise after hours.

The ideal place for a major grocery store in the Core is the land that is currently just parking and is also up for sale........the huge lot on York between Waterloo and Wellington up against the rail corridor.

This parcel is big enough to allow a good size store but still have customer parking and the loading docks would be at the back fronting onto the rail corridor and industry on the other side of it so it would not receive any noise complaints after hours.

Old Oak has moved the tower crane to the final position for the next building at their Mosaik project. Windows and glass now installed on the current building up to the 3rd floor. Footings and foundation for new building and parking garage progressing slowly.

Not that I can think of. Closest was their recently completed low rises at Sunningdale west of Adelaide.

Closest would be their latest building behind FarmBoy off Wonderland. They will be turning their full attention soon to 661 Talbot St. as most of the structural work is now complete behind the FarmBoy.

Dancor looks to be building another large building at NE corner of Huron and Robins Hill Road. Footings are poured now. They completed two buildings just north of this site early this year that have already been leased.

I believe both of the future buildings fronting Huron in those plans are either fully and almost fully leased as well, pre-construction. They have been doing great at finding tenants for all their developments in that airport park.

Western has a tower crane up beside the Medical Sciences Addition. Not sure what is planned here given its pretty crowded already and also has a overhead walkway.

Drewlo still has the tower crane up on their building behind Farmboy west of Wonderland. Still forming and pouring the parking garage structure. They should also be topping out their second tower in Woodstock now. They built twin 12s apartment buildings in the east end of Woodstock downtown called Newport Village. Would imagine these crews will be helping on the 661 Talbot St building next before moving to the big project at Wellington and Bradley at end of 2021.
