I Eat My Way Through Los Angeles (ongoing)

I eat out a lot. A little bit ago, I thought, why don't I take pictures of my meals, and post them on SSP? And so, here we are. This photothread is basically going to just be pictures of food in Los Angeles. I'll update it whenever I eat out, which is normally a few times a week. Also, I won't take pictures when I eat out at a sushi bar, since I feel like the timeframe to eat sushi in is something so ephemeral, that taking pictures ruins the experience. These are more or less in chronological order, except for that I stopped taking pictures for about three weeks between Pine and Crane and Republique, and missed out on some great meals.

I actually thought Paiche was just okay. For me it's Picca > Mo Chica > Paiche

Last weekend, I got back from camping in Lake Arrowhead. Tomorrow, I go to Buenos Aires. These are the meals I've eaten in between.

Nice! But what about all of the fine ethnic cuisines LA has in abundance? The fancy stuff is nice and all, but can had anywhere (and a small city like Copenhagen or San Sebastian can give LA serious competition in this field), but the low-brow ethnic varieties is where, IMO, LA truly shines as a gastronomy destination.

I just haven't been eating as much ethnic food as I usually do, but rest assured, there will be tacos (and thai food, and korean food, and ethiopian food...)

Plates, so fancy. Ive been sad lately cause they closed my favorite taco spot indefinitely until they find a new location, if that ever happens.

Great thread
It's actually Al Pastor with a little bit of pineapple, on Venice and La Brea. It's, to my knowledge, the only taco truck with an Al Pastor spit.

EDIT: Thought you were talking about the tacos. The corn and shrimp is from Hart and the Hunter.
