I knew a comment like this was coming as soon as I posted mine.

And I of course disagree when it comes to these buildings. I didn't say the whole city should aim for that, but having some nice modern glass curtain walls along the river on such massive (and poorly massed, and ugly) buildings would do a lot to modernize southern Manhattan.
