I don't think PECO wants anything tall in that lot that would obscure their digital billboard. If I'm not mistaken, I think PECO has air rights around the building.

I learned a few years ago that the utilities under the PECO lot are a mess - total spaghetti - and PECO wants/needs to retain access to them, so developing the lot is extremely complicated, i.e. expensive. Can someone confirm?

Makes sense, considering there's a substation occupying the northern portion of the lot.

You know what other place on West Market could've had something much bigger? The building at 19th and Market that I think is the Philadelphia Stock Exchange. While it is a nice little building, it looks like the base of a much taller building, like something 700 feet+

NASDAQ moved the PHLX to the FMC building a while back.

Meanwhile Brandywine has owned 1900 Market for the past 6 years and is just finishing up extensive renovations.

I've always been fascinated by that building. Yes, from the street, it looks like any other skyscraper that lines Market and JFK but when you look up, it's odd that it's only - what 5 floors?

This is just the passageway from the concourse under the CTC to the concourse underneath the CC. The concourse under the CTC isn't perfect either but once it has some restaurants and shops it should be much more lively.
