Does anyone know if they intend to replace the remaining walkway red brick tiles after completing AC? They seem white'ish in the rendering, so I'm thinking yes?
Crews have been building several rebar columns this week and an auger was parked onsite this morning. The lot looks to be leveled to grade now and is marked up, so hopefully we’ll see some vertical columns soon.
The developer, LaPour Partners, is working with the architect AXIS GFA and the builder Layton Construction, on this 13-story and 199-room hotel scheduled to be completed within 18 months after groundbreaking, according to information provided by Sonnenklar.
“Downtown Phoenix is a true destination, and soon Arizona Center will be able to host out-of-town visitors in the heart of it all,” Rood said.
Palm Tower, the 31-story residential tower on Arizona Center’s property, will break ground by the end of the year, according to Sonnenkar. North American Development Group (NADG) will be working with Will Bruder Architects on this project. The builder has yet to be determined.
Sonnenklar said in an email that the Palm Tower is scheduled for completion approximately 24 months after the groundbreaking.
Did we get two for X Phoenix? Drove near downtown and the only crane I could see from the 202/51 was Kennec.
X has the crane up with a jumper installed (only about 100' tall right now) and a base for another on the opposite end behind the huge dirt mound. I'm hoping for it to go up this weekend or next.
By the time they do it again we'll have a crane for Aspire and Filmore too, maybe even Hines.
Oh I assure you Hines is happening before all those. I haven't had a great look, but they are seriously going on that. The right lane is closed as you approach Jefferson due to the construction on Hines.
Site pad, large plan review, phased review and traffic study permits all issued for 440 E Van Buren. This is the Palm Court tower lot. Starting to see permit activity ramp up on this and the grass has been dying off for months now. Could we see this going soon?
Just a couple tidbits of info on Palm Court's height for us height junkies. I decided to put in a records request for the heck of it for AZ Center and it came in today. The design for Palm Court is the one that we have seen from Will Bruder's site. But the total height to the parapet will be 292'. So this one will not break 300' unfortunately. Also, AC will be 151' officially.

Thanks for the info, although the height now seems underwhelming considering the previous hype and what we assumed it could be. Now, it appears to be shorter than even the Hyatt. Well, I guess we'll take what we can, but I really do hope to start seeing some increases in height moving forward. I hope Astra leads the way.
