I think Cormier sees a goldmine in a city that is desperate for little 'parklike bits' inserted betwixt the condos.
There's no history, there's no context, it's all manufactured.
That cat thing looks idiotic, in my opinion.
Somewhat ironic that Toronto imports a Quebecer to define their public spaces.
You'd think they'd have a local who could better help define their identity - if they had an identity.
Tells you a lot about Toronto.
"Need everything to be a Cormier!" will be questioned decades from now.
When everyone wonders why 20 parks were all designed by the same guy from - Québec!
