^With or without - not a huge difference either way. But if I had to pick, put me down in the column as thinking it looks better WITH the blow-through. Looks more interesting, slightly more uniform and somehow more imposing with the blow-through.

Just wait until it's lit up at night...

(I'm convinced it will be)

It won't be because that would be illegal as it stands. (assuming you are referring to the blow-through)

For me, the blow-throughs aren't bad or great, I've just kind of accepted that the actual build out of a lot of these architectural concepts are going to have some real-world functional elements that kind of ground the building in reality.

But with all the glass and its departure from the renderings I can understand why people really don't like it too. I guess it just doesn't really bother me

I agree that it is really beautiful in person. The mechanical louver strips are a lot less noticeable. I think they just look more pronounced in photos.

^ The third pic up is simply awesome. What a tower. Here’s how I justify the messy south facade: typically, mechanical floors wrap around an entire building. This is not the case with Vista. We have three facades that are continuous glass from top to bottom (aside from the blowthru). Not too many, if any 1,200 ft towers can claim that statistic. So we sacrifice the south side to get a little more pure, uninterrupted beauty on the other three.
