The number of proposed student residences in this area is starting to get insane.

3 on Main Street (old Pizza Hut, Church, Dalewood area)
1 on King
and the Columbia residence on Main.

It's still small potatoes compared to what's been built in Waterloo over the last 15 years.

McMaster's enrolment has continued to grow year after year without substantial increase in on-campus housing pushing more students into the community. You can only convert so many single family homes into 6 bedroom student homes before it makes more sense to create some mid-to-high density student oriented rental buildings instead.
