211 Melvin Ave |?| 5fl | Proposed

New missing middle planning application at 211 Melvin. Demolish a two-storey building, replace with five-storey 50 unit structure.

For lack of a better place to ask, does anyone know what's currently being built a few doors down across Melvin next to the Catholic church building?

EDIT: Found it. Townhouse condos.

It's awesome to start to see infill midrises be proposed this far east! Hope it glides by nice and easy.

Nice to see the East End get some love. Hopefully the big redevelopment along Reid makes a difference too.

It's one of the few last "affordable" areas of the city though. If these proposals don't maintain that through a good portion of their heft, it will be unfortunate.

50 units? That's not missing middle, friends. That's an apartment building. Low rise =/= missing middle.

That intersection of Melvin and Parkdale was intensified very noticeably by the Indwell project. This'd do great to expand on that a bit farther East and it'll blend a bit better with all the tall apartment buildings on that side of the street.

Lol. I do find missing middle seems to bend towards whatever the speaker wants or does not want.
