I certainly agree. Perhaps I'll be able to uncover some more photos in the future. The majority of the photos I had left pertained to ecclesiastical architecture, which is quite evident.

Quite true, even though it transpired in 1940 albeit the Soviets attempted to state it took place in 1941 and was committed by Nazi Germany. A few years ago, a film from Polish director Andrzej Wajda was released that deals with the Katyn tragedy entitled
Katyn.

Yes, it is. Much highway construction is taking place in Poland and quite a bit of revitalization of cities that suffered under Soviet occupation.

Although not particularly evident today, SF does have some Polish history. Yet, the most evident Slavic group today is of course the city's Russian population.
