None of which I would classify as "sharing resources" to the extent that significant financial benefits would result. Sounds more like collaboration to me.

That said, I agree with Waye that it should be located in the downtown Halifax area.

Would old Dartmouth City Hall be suitable?

Would there be enough space?
I'm sure it would need some physical changes to include cells but might work.
I really don't want to see that building go away - I always thought it was kind of a neat little building. Nothing impressive, but just hate to see it going away. I guess to me, losing it would take away from the history of the former city of Dartmouth.

Haha Have you ever learned to not pay attention to trolls?
The funniest part is, I used the same line of thinking as him to justify moving it to the old Dartmouth courthouse.

Thank you, Waye. Exactly.

The new hospital in Truro is next to the 102 - better access for surrounding communities. Cobequid medical centre is not in the middle of Sackville but is close to major highways.
Colin, I'm starting realize you're actually a pro-sprawl guy.

You don't like any of the developments in downtown Dartmouth, in fact, don't seem to be supportive of most of the density developments on the peninsular, either.

Whenever a condo seems to be selling downtown, you claim that it's the developer selling to him or herself.

And here you are, advocating moving more essential services out into the middle of nowhere.

Do you have any sense of planning? Density? Or is it... just move everything out into the boondocks because "cheap land!" and pretend that traffic, congestion, and sprawl doesn't exist?

Locating hospitals on suburban highways has got to be one of the all time dumbest things I've seen written on this board in all of my time here.

One of the saddest ironies might be that "Access Nova Scotia" is no longer in the West End, but all in far flung suburban areas as you mention.

I guess "Access Nova Scotia" isn't so accessible and everybody without a car doesn't matter.

The pendulum will have to swing at some point... poor folks with having cars is a terrible model when gas prices go back up.

This one really seems to be crawling along. With the amount of work Lead has on the go I wonder if this is suffering from lack of available workers.

Waye Mason hinted at updated renderings a year or so ago, I'd love to see them, this could be a great building.

They have a sales office on Barrington St. with the new renderings in the window. They've ditched the coloured glass.

If no one beats me to it I'll get a photo next time I go by.

^Anyone else notice the "views" section is not of Rainnie but rather where Seton Ridge will be located?
