This is a few days old at this point, so more has been added, especially to the western face. But anyways, cladding is going up. I have to say -- it looks pretty good in person. Definitely an interesting take on fins, and the color matches the dark steel look of the other East Market projects more closely than the renders suggest.

Edit: Couldn't get the images to show up!

I have to check it out during my lunch break tomorrow! It definitely looks good from the Gallery and East Market.

If you are able, grab a photo on your smartphone. We would like to see from a different vantage point.

Only the curved metal cladding is on, no curvy glass on the south and east face yet

Undulating glass now going up on the N + E sides. It may be a glass box, but it's got some texture.

There was a little fog that was only noticeable from a distance, it seems, from the warm temperature and the snow.

Looks like the roof and parapet is being formed. It looks shorter than what it looks like in my massings, but it still does bring good mass to the skyline

topped off

When I walked down 12th St Tuesday afternoon, I noticed a festive archway of purple balloons near the NW corner of the site. I thought maybe they had the topping off ceremony, but I hadn't seen anything here about such. Well indeed that's what it was, according to this press release dated 2/1:
Jefferson Specialty Care Pavilion Celebrates Topping Off

Photos and video footage from the event are available for download: https://jefferson.box.com/s/yackr3b6...4sy0py79jiqjjm

PBJ had a piece yesterday: https://www.bizjournals.com/philadel...-pavilion.html
National Real Estate Development, developer of East Market, began East Market in 2014 and worked through each phase from Market Street to Chestnut Street. Jefferson’s building will be the fifth and last for the developer at the project.
Not sure what that means for the temporary(?) plaza at the west side of the lot.

Not a popular opinion I’m sure but I find myself walking these blocks often (Milkboy is my shit) and would love a park here. Even if it only means the tower is delayed, I’ll enjoy the time as a park. If it’s executed well
