^Good shots! I wonder how 277 Park's renovation is coming along?

Seems funny to say this on a skyscraper site but...it is really starting to get "down" there. When do they expect to bottom out and start the "building" process?

Very cool project.

277 Park looks about the same, but I haven't been studying it too hard.

The building construction has been technically underway for a while now, just below street level, and with nothing visible for us. So the action has been focused on the demolition, which is so low now, it starts to feel weird at how the skyscraper just disappeared. But they have been a few months behind their earlier schedule, which would have construction reach street level by October, but it looks like they have now. Full demo is expected to be complete by February, and it looks like it will.

More construction phasing...

We're up to ground level construction, the new building permit up to the third floor has been approved (the full building permit isn't issued yet), and here's another permit in relation to the new building...

I think by the end of 2021 this should all wrap up, meaning the new tower starting to rise.

Demo itself will be complete in February, but we are soon to watch this tower start rising above ground, maybe in a month or so. They'll start working from the west, working eastward before demo is complete.

Demo will be done in 3 months? That would be great!

I didn’t think this one would go up so fast. But just to think in a year this will be well above the ground.

Even better!

I hope this has 1 Vanderbilt style management. Exceeding time table benchmarks is always a positive.

Demo is already behind, there's about a quarter left. The building has been under construction for over a year. They have to turn over the rebuilt Eastside Access - which runs underneath the site - to the MTA by the end of June. That work has been ongoing, just not visible for obvious reasons. But you can follow what work is going on at the site by reading the DOB filings.

Anyway, they are already behind (as is everything else), but you can see how the construction phasing will work by looking at the scheduling graphics provided.

They'll begin above ground construction on the western side (before demo is complete), and work eastward in sequence.

Nice work! If Tower Fifth can somehow be less ugly NY will arguably have the most perfect skyline in the world

This is a big boy tower. Big shoulders on this one.

Those renderings are great. Helps to appreciate just how impactful this will be on a skyscraper saturated area to begin with. Somewhat looks like if 425 Park had a cousin that had a Dianabol habit.

Earlier, I wasn't sure which version I preferred, this or the previous version. But have since come to prefer this symetrical version. It seems like a tower that should have been and always belonged here.
