@ Metro and other French forumers: Is it true the Eiffel Tower actually consists of 4 towers? I used to refer to it as "The Eiffel Tower" but now
I understand we should say "The Four Eiffel Towers". Is that correct?

Not correct. It's one structure. Even like Shukhov and Ostankino towers in Moscow.

legend to sections.

there is also picture could have you to understand a structure concept more easly.
How can a building that shares the same podium, the same roof, several floors running around the building and an atrium that is closed from the elements by glass curtains be four seperate buildings?

I count around abouts 28 floors (above and below ground) that run around the building - are they somehow void? If you walk from one section to another......do you risk falling off the building because they are there just for visual appearence and not actually as part of the structure of the building?

To add to that its going to be one of the most disgusting 300m towers around, great if it was 200m, and the inards were filled in, but this will rival the Tuntex Sky Tower without a doubt in most ugliest skyscraper supertall competitions.

Those who see 1 tower and don't see 4 towers in this project must be mentally limited extreme Russophobes. Right, coth?

grumpy. that picture is just cheap model. look at sections

those bridges are not part of a structure and does not contain any supporting functions.
blue on 1-1 is empty space.

These 4 towers are built on 1 base so I guess this is clear that this is 1 building with 4 connected corners

The problem is though, there are vast voids between say Naberezhnaya (3 towers with no connections) and a central spine and a few connections but lots of void between the two Federation Towers. This red tower though is connected:
- There are more connecting floors (easily double that of Federation, despite being noway near as hight)
- The atria are fully enclosed unlike the other two towers you mentioned which don't have such atria because they are clearly exposed

And please don't tell me that its going to be in blood coloured red as well? Is this meant to be a monument to the old USSR with the blood-drenched reminder of the gulags and the oppression of millions?

Great post!

EDIT- after reading the rest of the thread...

I see coth's delusions have rapidly progressed, time to seek some professional help if you ask me...

As for the over 1000m lists, I checked Amsterdam and it also exceeds 1000m (barely) on Emporis.
(And I didn't want to say it, but ankara isn't in Europe...)

Amsterdam, Netherlands
Cumulated heights of Top10 buildings: 1 060 m

01. Rembrandttoren 150 m
02. Mondriaantoren 123 m
03. WTC H Toren 105 m
04. ABN AMRO World HQ 105 m
05. Ito-Toren 100 m
06. Millennium Tower 98 m
07. Crystal Tower 95 m
08. Mahler 4 Viñoly 95 m
09. Breitner Center 95 m
10. Oval Tower 94 m

These are my hometowns tallest:

I mean I know you have a major problem with denial of facts but this is getting beyond stupidity - its one building and anyone around the world with any common sense would say the exact same thing.

In theory - four towers, in reality - one tower.

How will Emporis and SSP list this/these tower(s)?

SSP as one because they are close to each other. Close building are listing as one on SSP for better drawing. I hope this standard will changed.

Emporis list them as four.

So we have a building with 4 corners connected by various bridges/walkways with a roof & in between these 4 corners are glasss curtains running the length of the building so the whole structure is enclosed on all 4 sides giving the apearance of one enclosed building.

Have you not heard of an atrium???

Hmmmm 4 buildings or 1- tough

Remember that Emporis database is basically run by independent individual editors who have got access to cities and all buildings and are free to edit all data. For example I could make the Moscow City Duma to be 65 buildings instead of 4 and . Emporis is indeed a good source but in some cases it still reflects just an opinion of the editors who are human beings and may be subjective. So I wouldn't use it as an unquestionable source of correct information.
