It appears The One has all it's permits in order and according to those over on urbantoronto.ca the construction site should be a busy hive of activity within a few days (my guess Monday).

And just around the corner at 50 Scollard demo and excavation are underway so we will have 2 Fosters going up at the same time.

Also not mentioned here but work resumed last week at YSL even with the current law suit hanging over them.

That's true. I remember a McDonalds somewhere with a living wall and pond! The Eaton Centre was a green oasis in the middle of winter back then too.

Well that's a pleasant surprise. I completely forgot about this one - and it's one of my favourite towers going up in Toronto!

Nope. They're a part of the project, but they aren't even being facaded as a typical project here would do: https://cdn.skyrisecities.com/sites/...422-61940.jpeg

Found some renderings which appear to show them preserved without a facadectomy. If only more developers could learn from this example.

This is one of the handsomest proposals I've seen in a while. I like the clean lines and proportions of it. They might have a hard time planting trees to look exactly like that swoosh though.

I walked by the YSL site today, looked dead. So did Halo.

The One on the other hand was popping, lots of construction dudes there, doing construction type things.

It looks like more details on the rail deck park portian are becoming visible. I wonder if it's still possible to have that completed by the fall. Also does anybody know how close to completion the new Bus terminal is? I can't find any info on the Metrolinx site.

I thought the rail deck was going to be wider - like the width of the site ?

In the midst of possible shutdowns, Pinnacle is drilling caissons on the site of new tallest in Canada. Go figure.

Construction workers were deemed 'essential' but it's really code for 'expendable'. There's nothing essential about putting up a condo tower. This is about money.

Wasn't the One Yonge complex the fastest-selling condo in Toronto history, or am I thinking of Sugar Wharf?
It is a bit odd to be starting a new construction during this crisis, but as long as the workers maintain distancing protocols, they should be OK.

I work in the construction industry building duct for schools, those government projects have schedules that must be met in order for the new schools to open in the fall. Some construction projects have been put on hold though.

Crestford is having problems... the YSL site has been abandoned, not sure about 33 Yorkville and Halo on Yonge. Clover seems to be still working hard.

I'll check by on Halo tomorrow....I don't feel like going downtown with the subway closure and rain. I'll be right in the area....may check on YSL too...if that is abandoned that'll be an eyesore for years.
