MINNEAPOLIS | 4Marq | 312 FT | 30 floors

This is on the same block as "The Nic on 5th" a 26 story building that is under construction. The rendering is preliminary...nothing is solid of course, but I think the lower floors are more prelim. This one is expected to move pretty fast. See link for larger image.

First look at Mortenson's planned 30-story apartment tower

Mortenson Development has shared the first image of a 30-story luxury apartment tower in downtown Minneapolis that it announced last month...

I hope this is a "rough" initial render. I count 30 floors all right, but it doesn't look that tall. Maybe they'll find another 5-6 floors and some type of roof "treatment"!

looks like 302 feet to the roof, 313 to the top of the mechanical....pretty average for a 30 story residential with some parking floors. I like it a bit better after seeing the plans:

http://www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/www/...s1p-106952.pdf

So the height could be added to the thread title.

MNMike: What's this business with Wells Fargo and expanding their Des Moines campus? I thought they were looking to expand near the new Vikes stadium! Is this this different or what?

I know the render is pretty bland but Id imagine this will be nicer when built if it is to cater to the luxury market downtown. Regardless, the infill will add to downtown.

Glad to see some movement. I also wonder what else we may see around the city (the clusters around the freeway interchanges).

This one gets reviewed, and most likely approved today by the Planning commission. Detailed site plans:

http://www.minneapolismn.gov/meeting.../WCMS1P-109426

Looks like it is 302 feet to the roof, 313 feet structural are the official numbers, as noted earlier.

Up to floor 8 now! You can also see the new Xcel Energy HQ under construction here, which will only be 9 floors.
