My St. Louis visit PART FOUR :: Downtown's Loft District in the evening

This part of downtown STL is seeing a huge influx of loft and condo conversions revitalizing the area. It also has an impressive architectural stock and many solid streetwalls.

Yes, there were people around. No, I didn't get photos of them, so no complaints please. I was shooting in HDR, which is great for architectural scenes at twilight, but not so great for capturing streetlife.

love the hyper-real photography.

As much as everyone loves skyscrapers, it's really the old buildings that send us. St Louis has some great ones.

It is the curved bulding sharing an intersection with Christ Church Cathedral and the library.

Edit - sorry, I see everyone else has already answered your question.

Awesome photos. Very comprehensive.

And to think the strip is still emerging with new retail, retaurants, condos, lofts, and a forthcoming live/work office building.

I think the Episcopal Cathedral nextdoor is my favorite in the city. I used to get so excited to go there when I was a kid. I was confirmed there and will be married there. The building holds a pretty special place in my heart. sniff.
