As indicated previously, the red Stuart Olson crane would come down and a new Pagnotta one will be going in. A second one will be going in for the other parkade and tower than Ledcor is the General Contractor on. I haven't heard who is doing the structural work for them yet.

Interesting. Last I heard, Pagnotta was going to be using 2 cranes for the hotel & condo towers.

Just enjoying a morning coffee at Good Earth Cafe across the street from the site, and they are definitely starting the backfill process and "digging in" to that mound of soil and dumping it back into the hole. Hopefully it won't be long before the mound of dirt is gone and another crane is erected on that location. Lots of activity at the site currently.

Some delays in schedule, the raft slab should have our whole crew on with two concrete pumps, we don't see these kind of pours every day in Saskatchewan. Should take place sometime next week.

Are you talking about the main floor slab? I presume that it's a big pour containing some pretty large transfer beams to take the loads from the towers above.

stopped by around 1pm today and it looked like about 2/3 had been poured and "levelled". Can't wait to see this start going "up"!

Yeah, the concrete wasn't ready for trowels until after ~2pm. We ending up with 682m3 on this pour.

I believe we are scheduled to be there tomorrow to finish up the ramp entrance.

Anyone doing a drive-by, in the vicinity like, with an image-capturing device?

Has anyone heard anything about the restaurant that is planned to be located on the southeast side of the condo? I'm wondering if they have something lined up already or if it will be 'for lease' for a while when it opens.

Ya i can't see someone not taking advantage of that location being that we have so few restaurants next to the river.

I usually cycle past the site on my way home from work. For the first time ever there were no workers on site at 5:30 on a Monday (Aug 21). In addition, they have excavated the east side back down almost to the footings after weeks of slowly back filling and compacting.

Rebar for the (presumably circular) columns for the first floor of the condo is visible emerging from the transfer slab. It took a couple of weeks just to install the transfer slab rebar. It was an incredible sight.

Last week a large construction trailer was installed along Spadina by office tower site (visible in the image below).
