The Snowbird videos made me sad, but I watched all three.

The final one (Gatineau to Smiths Falls) has my home at 1:56 and my son's at 14:39 so that's kind of cool.

Thank you for posting them.

Have you received a call from Claridge yet to use your video? They should be all over it for marketing material.

That's an awesome video! Thanks for posting.

Here are a few images I posted on the Skyline thread, and yours. Never seen so much positive feedback on Ottawa skyline pics on the Canada forum.

Edit: Nevermind, found it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pi0OsmXvuq0. There's tons of great angles of the city in this video.

The trucks certainly took up a lot of space but the people didn't. I know it was cold but I doubt the crowds even eclipsed 10k people.

Hard to get the same angle but some Canada Day comparisons:

Thats a great shot! I dont think ive ever seen a bird eye picture from this POW. Gives you downtown, Parliament, Dow's lake and the Icon and Lebreton, Just missing an even wider angle to include Zibi

Slightly illegal flight but I am glad we have the shot! It's just a about 300 metres into the Class F airspace and a little over twice the legal height. With a DJI Mini/Mini2 you can fly about half way down the left side of the Alexandra bridge up to 400 feet legally (edit: from Jaques Cartier Park)

I was just thinking the same thing

But it is a pretty amazing shot. Due to Ottawa's table top and extremely dense core it's very hard to visualize the city from anything other than an aerial shot. This should now be the template for all "future Ottawa" renderings.

The past 3 weeks has show us that nothing is really illegal in Ottawa.

There is a channel on youtube that has been flying a drone all over downtown during the last few weeks, well into class F, don't think theres many ways for them to really enforce that.

Remember when the guy that flew a drone over the Raptor's parade made international news for being an idiot? Apparently anything goes these days.
