does anyone know anything about the corner lot next to it, on Alderney and also facing the harbour? What a mess.

A female speculator with dreams of getting rich outbid Doull for the property several years ago. Doull is very happy he dodged a bullet.
Time to call HRM about ' Dangerous & Unsightly ' premises. Amazing that HRM allows such a mess on a main thoroughfare in downtown Dartmouth.

Foundation is going in now. Photo is from tonight - not bad for jamming my phone through the fence.

Snapped this yesterday evening.

Every time I walk by a rendering for this project I find some other little feature that I'd not noticed before. I think it will turn out to be a really great building once complete.

I drove by this weekend and it looked like they were in the process of taking the crane down.

This one hasn't been updated in a while. Most of the windows have been installed and brick is starting to go up on some of the walls.

It's good that the ground floor has decent ceiling heights. A few newer buildings in the city have had low ceilings, I think, because the developers try to fit in as many floors under the height limit as possible.

It's unfortunate that this space shown here will be a dead zone storing litter that blows in.

A ground floor retail space expansion could be built in that area.

The building north of the Avery that has had a blue tarp on the side is getting grey vinyl siding; those three words depress me to no end, but even lipstick on a pig can be seen by some as an improvement.

This is turning into a very handsome building. Have not had time to make a full round of it lately, but snapped this yesterday.

Yes that does look good. Thanks for posting the picture Jonovision.

The Avery design is contemporary but I don't think it will look dated 50 years from now.
