Smile 1,75 meter high real world model

Hello to everyone,

This video shows the process in making my imaginary urban complex. It was exhibited for a month at Bozar Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels (2012). It is made from 1,845 individual laser-cut pieces over a period of one year.

What do you guys think? I have made the original drawing in Sketchup. Here is a little preview photo (without spoiling the video):

Really impressive! Both the model and the design. I would also like to see some pictures of the Sketchup model you mentioned.

@Pzuriz:

Thanks! :-) Well, actualy, I don't think I will make another real world model in the near future. It is very intensive and it takes a lot of time. But I will be making other 3d models for sure!

@ Vellu:

Thanks! You can see parts of the sketchup model and more images on my blog actualy: pieter vermeersch blog

Here is a video of me crafting the little parts with a Proxxon FET Saw (it's one of the 1845 parts in fact :-)
