I think they could fit in two more at each end and one on each side for a total of 10.

Still no access to DOB documents, so I’m not sure.

I can’t stop admiring this ICON!

Getting stuff like this is one of the benefits of being the Financial Capital of the World!

clearly this is going to shoot up now, so we will have floor watching and counting fun here for awhile.

the first setback will be interesting to see being built -- anyone know what floor that will be?

Genius the way the diamonds compress as you go higher until they form the Chase logo inverted 45 degrees (at least that's how I read it). They should light the top in Chase blue.

Just about 3 or 4 more floors until the first setback.

I wonder if by the end of the year, it will be as tall as Bear Stearns next door.

They are still working on the 2 small levels above the main mechanical level. There are still 5 more levels until the setback, the fifth level being the setback (the 18th floor but really the 17th). So the top of the column lines on GertElim's drawing should be where the floor line is.

It’s slowed down a little while they are working on the mechanical floors. But hopefully once I’m back in town next week things are moving faster again.

Are those elevators the kind that can transfer shafts horizontally?

Or does that just mean the firefighters have to transfer to the other elevators at that floor (FSAE)

They don’t necessarily have to, but it’s the workaround the zoning code that requires at least one elevator to touch every floor in the building. That’s not possible on this site where the sublevels are on the western edge if the property, and the highest at the center.

Ah, I see now, thanks. That's what the red dashed box is illustrating.

I hope that we get something like the Paley Park waterfall on the Madison Ave side.
