Amazing views! Charlotte is impressive in aerials! I would love to see Winston-Salem from the air, when you have the time. A friend lives near Hickory Grove Baptist Church and gives directions from the church. It is a big landmark.

Do you know if 210 Trade is canceled?

Indefinitely on hold, along with the plans for the former Wachovia condo tower, and The Park.

What is going forward includes the NC Dance Theater, 12 floor UNCC building, in addition to those already under construction, which includes 1 Bank of America, the Vue, and Duke Energy Center. Catalyst and 440 South Church have already topped out, along with the Ritz Carlton.

What may move forward in the next year or so? Encore tower & Carolina Theater, and a rumor about the revival of plans for 300 South Tryon.

No, not quite. Cesar Pelli's BofA is still the tallest in the city, and the tallest between Atlanta and Philly, at 871 feet. The new Duke Energy tower is now the second tallest at 764 feet, having passed the Hearst tower at 659 feet.

So awesome! Looking at Charlotte from an aerial (Google Maps) is quite unimpressive, but it looks like the pace of development has really picked up.

Loved the thread, but I must add a correction. Concord Mills (1.4 million sq feet) is not the largest shopping mall in North Carolina, South Park Mall is at 1.626 million sq feet. Concord Mills Mall is the third largest in North Carolina, with Hanes Mall in Winston Salem coming in second.
