That view of the Gardens from the new weight room will be some nice, eh? Sure beats the view of the brick wall in the old weight facility. Does anyone remember the tan colored race track and aqua colored carpet? And those loose ol' dumbbells, lol?

Still kind of disappointing (to me anyway) that the facility won't be 24hrs. I hope the membership fees aren't through the roof.

To be fair there's already a 24 hour gym about a block away from there, on Dresden.

Oh yeah, the Fit4Less above Pete's is definitely an option that's for sure. The 'Y' offers more amenities though and with my schedule a 24hr facility would have been convenient at times.

Turned out better than I was expecting!

A shame it wasn't a few stories taller. It will likely appear obsolete in a few years like many of the previous sawed-off developments foisted on the peninsula.

Anyone who's seen there want to give me their estimate as to how long it will be until the regular sidewalk there is open?

Tough to say - the area around the building has been cleaned up but given that we're going into the coldest months of the year, it might be difficult/costly to pour now.

I agree. It looks squashed, especially from this angle

I'm thinking that's probably more a result of the setbacks than anything else. When I've seen them in person, they look fairly well proportioned to me, as seen in this Oct. 18 photo originally posted by RoshanMcG:

Ha ha, yeah whatever. Nice looking building regardless of the label (which I never have really understood the emphasis but I’m not a ‘real’ skyscraper fanatic... just a fan of good architecture).

I'm kind of with you on this one, but I do find there are two sides. Are these towers an improvement to the area, both visually and economically? Absolutely. Would these towers made a bigger improvement without arbitrary height laws restricting them? Also absolutely.

The first residents of the Pavilion are moving in this week. Sidewalk and entryway cleanup is underway.
I think this build took way longer than planned, but it looks really nice.

This is looking great! The pedestrian walkway is very well implemented. There's more angles on the blog.

I actually narrowly escaped injury at the Citadel this weekend because of one of those signs.
