It's laughable how slowly this project has been progressing.

Seems like almost no progress has been made for a year now.

You have been busy today taking pictures teddifax. Thank you for the pictorial update on this project.

They are making very slow, but steady progress on this interesting restoration/renovation project.

These are great pictures. You should consider posting some of them in the construction sites thread in the Canada section.

Just realize yesterday that Sackville Street provides a good view of the project:

Yes, that is a nice shot. I've always found it interesting when new developments are visible from unexpected angles. This happens a lot when isolated highrises go up in an area with low buildings. This particular view (hopefully) won't last long.

Even monthly updates seem too frequent:

Imagine the revitalization of this whole area once the Roy, Discovery, Nova and Espace are all complete with peole buzzing around , shopping at near by shops Barington again! It would be amazing to see new life breathed into it again .... maybe even another theatre or something ?

Thanks for the photos SekishikiMeikaiHa.

My guess is that there must be a very tight budget for this one. Maybe the tradesmen only work during breaks in other jobs. It is agonizing to watch how slowly this one is proceeding.

Roy Building

If these are the same people who are going to do the Roy Building, it will be nowhere finished in my life time.

The pace of this is horrifying.

At first, I was willing to believe that because they were saving the old facades, it was slowing the project down. Since they've extended above the old facades, and the pace seems pretty much the same, I can't buy that line anymore.

This can't be the state of trade skills in this area.

I can't imagine what the logical explanation is here, but I'd love to hear.

Consider that there's no crane involved.. that's probably at least a part of the explanation.
