Is there an interactive map somewhere? If so, can the mods pin it to the start of this thread? Thanks.

A bit more done + some odd changes (additions/subtractions) if you can spot them.

What are the cranes you have in Coquitlam and Port Moody? I have 0 out there in the google doc so if you could add them in that'd be great!

I updated the google doc with a few more last week. Was out at UBC and took a count, there were significantly more out there than I thought so I added 6 at UBC and one at Dunbar and 16th I noticed on the way out.

Total count is up to 153 now. Still missing a ton though.

153 is a lot of cranes. Is this the most cranes metro vancouver has had at one time?

Yeesh, another deadly crane collapse in the US, do they have looser regulations than Canada?

One dead, six injured in Dallas after crane crushes parking garage, apartment building

June 9, 2019, 2:01 PM PDT / Updated June 9, 2019, 2:42 PM PDT
By Tim Stelloh

A crane collapsed on an apartment building and parking garage in Dallas on Sunday, killing one person and injuring six, authorities said.

Jason Evans, a spokesman with Dallas Fire-Rescue Department, said five of the wounded were in serious and critical condition. A sixth person was hospitalized and released, he said.

Severe storms were moving through the area at the time, but officials could not yet confirm that the heavy winds were responsible for the collapse.

The crane tore through four floors of the apartment building in Dallas' downtown city center district, Dallas Police Department spokesman DeMarquis Black said. It wasn't clear how many floors in the garage collapsed.

Dramatic images from the scene appeared to show cars teetering on the edge of collapsed floors in the garage.

Other vehicles appeared buried beneath rubble and under other cars that had toppled onto them.

Wood building is so weak. I'm sure it would have held up better if it were a concrete or steel building. See more placards in the US being blown away by tornadoes and hurricanes, as well as those crushed by collapsing trees.

The concrete parking garage didn't perform very well in that Dallas crane collapse either.

I will try to get some specifics and update the google doc for you. The map shows visually corroborated cranes that I have seen while driving on site visits or were located by a couple of people from my office.

The Port Moody cranes are for 4-6 story wood condos. There are two cranes for new facilities on the Riverview campus. The Port Coquitlam crane is a commercial-condo building, also in the 4-6 floor range. I have most of UBC/CoV/Richmond ready but have no time at present to complete the map.

Thanks Shift! Has the Clayton Community Centre crane come down? I'm showing Surrey+White Rock with 16 in total.

Thank you! I have added the extra crane to the count. I also removed the Parker Crane from the count as it came down today.

Looks like the spreadsheet was updated to account for that addition.

The crane base for 833 West Pender Street seems like it's just being installed now.

Based on the small lot/site guess it will be another Luffing crane! Vancouver's got so many during this building cycle!
