It's possible, lots of buildings have done it. Concrete floors usually have a cycle of 5-7 days IIRC, though it depends on the mix.

This is going to be one huge tower, I wonder how similar it will be to EAP here in Calgary. If the Glazing is similar it will look great, I was a little skeptical at first, but I'm convinced now.

Well one benefit of their construction schedule is that they are now entering what is typically a pretty dry and hot part of the year. Summers are notoriously dry and usually 100+ degrees so curing shouldn't be an issue for sure.

They did mention that they will be moving into the tower in phases. IT will be the first to move in on the lower floors long before the tower is "complete" Now how they define that is the question. Is that the last piece of tile going in, or are they talking structure somewhere...who knows.

Personally, I can't wait for it to get tall enough that when I drive down I-40, that I'll be able to see it from the highway, towering above everything!

Hotter weather can actually make it take longer for concrete to cure as concrete releases heat as part of the chemical reaction. Like I said before though, it all depends on the type of concrete used and the mix designed for this project.

Hot weather can also cause the concrete to cure quicker as well. Similar to the jobsite I am on.

But yes, the it does depend on the mix and any retarders and curing compounds added.

Do they have to use hoarding in a hot climate to protect the concrete from excessive heat and dry air? Too dry of air with the slightly wrong mixture can evaporate the moisture out of the coincrete before it cures and the concrete will be very poor.

DC area has humid air. None-the-less there have been trucks rejected due to time limitations between the batch being created and poured - it settles quickly with the recent heat. The jobsite has numerous different mixtures for different features /uses. We have everything from low moisture content, self-consilidating, "soup" and the likes. The concrete mix submittal approvals took for ever.

Will the curtainwall be reflective or transparent?

I think now there should be more people coming over to this website to post pic updates since okctalk.com has been infected with a virus. I got on the website last night via my cell phone and there were only 4 members logged on (they must own Macs). Today I tried and it was a no can do. So anyway, I look forward to more updates via this website. And thanks again to anyone else who posts pics!

Did something happen to OKCTalk, or is it just me? It's coming up with a page saying "Account Suspended"...not sure what that means.

I live in this city and my bar of soap would have to be as big as this tower for my dirty mouth. It's all good, but I'm not going to type certain words yet, if ever, as this is only my 3rd post?! Describe it however you want.

I don't have photos but just so you guys know who don't have access to a live cam or anything, the current floor being built with the prefab forms is floor 4. They are currently halfway through the second of the three sections & the south elevator core has already gone up to the next level.

Pretty much, it's going as previously described.. about one floor every week and a half. Seems much faster though!
