Seems to be way better lighting of tall buildings in the suburbs: just saying.

I noticed these Christams/Winter lights on Hastings
- they looked to run from Harbour Centre (maybe farther east) to at least Burrard St.

and I took this one in December on Robson St.

I suspect that they can be re-fashioned to be multi-seasonal?
Pics by me.

From Westbank twitter March 30th:

Pink Apocalypse by Neil Campbell, 2023.

A new iteration of the artist's art installation will be on display tonight at 1661 Davie St. in the West End, which will alternate between displays.
The original, Zephyr, was first released with a blue tonal display in August 2022.

Temporary sign up for the holidays (til Dec 30th, unless extended).
The VAN seem a bit squished.

I wonder why there aren't more of those. in Mexico, every city has permanent multiple signs like that all over the place for obligatory pics.

Anyone else find it tacky? I prefer the view without the sign.

The reason why it looks tacky is because they don't really care what it looks like. They should get Douglas Coupland to whip out a $500K masterpiece

Welcome to Las Vegas sign cost $4000 in 1959.

Lots of places to stand and not have the sign in your view.
(unless it's a view cone where you have to stand exactly at that one spot and not have any obstructions )

Very popular "VANCOUVER" sign to remain a little longer

Also the Robson Square installation will be dismantled end of February.
It has some very cool colour patterns and cycles.

Lanterns for Lunar New Year at the Art Gallery plaza.
Only one lantern looked Asian-inspired.
The rest looked Aboriginal-inspired.

Pics by me last night.

I'm looking out for a new WINNERS blade sign on The Hudson nearby.
Unless they"ll just move the old one over.
