It's a crude summer in HOUSTON

Semi-random, semi mundane...

(From the cover of INTOWN magazine)

Yuck... enough with the stormy weather!!

Whoa, wait a minute...

I thought this was supposed to be a CHINA town???

Balancing acts

Heavenly???

Uhhh, maybe not

project rows

odd relations

High class

High hopes

That "personal relationship" with God

mixed use

higher ed

smart streets

more high hopes

Now guess where I'm going...

uhhhh..... downtown???

old friends

just in case you were wondering

a new start

Obligatory... in bronze

That's it... my 1000th post!!

Puts all others in the state to shame... love it! Truly Texas!

Too bad your light rail is above ground in the city, though!

I can only imagine what the humidity is like with temps in the upper 90s. Great shots and thanks for the tour!

great pics of a mono-ethnic (white) suburb with no buildings built after 1950 and oil skyscrapers sticking out of a field, fitting for Bush's hometown

Cool pics. Where is that bronze skyline? The Chase Building I presume?

I have a story about Wendy's and Houston actually. It involved a chicken sandwich and a press-on fingernail.

I enjoyed this thread, I looked at it yesterday and it seemed to be a realistic tour (though I've never been to Houston).

Wow, thanks everyone! My photo skills have a LONG way to go, but I"m workin' on it

That skewed skyline bronze is actually from a hall on Rice's campus atop one the main doorway of the building. I took one look at it, and thought "that's a completely inaccurate and obstructed view of Houston... it's so... so... RICE!

LOL yep. I titled that photo and the one after it "mixed use". Perhaps I should have titled it "mixed waste"
