Would love to see the floor plans. A double height room above the garage might explain the lack of windows above the bay (and why is that bay not centred?) but it's very odd.
Ya I was wondering if it's high ceilings, but for houses that I have been in with that, like my 2nd cousin's house, there was still at least one window to let light in. A bitch to clean though.
Looks good when you're downstairs but then you wonder if it's wasted space because the bedrooms could have been bigger. Well that's more for a standard sized house as opposed to a bigger house where the bedrooms are already a good size.
And ya, I don't think I've ever seen a bay that wasn't centered. Of all the kinds of windows, that's the one I'd think would always be centered or symmetrical if there's more than one.
Another one I don't consider ugly but there's way too much roof on this one in Montreal. I would love to see what inside looks like to understand why it was built like this.

Evidently the builders forgot to cut out the window for the second floor, and got the measurements wrong for the bay window on the first floor. Really, there can't be any other explanations.
Again, won't say this one is ugly. Not attractive by any stretch, but won't categorize with some of the beasts on this thread. It's a rental in Niagara.
I often talk about lack of windows, but this is clearly not one of them. Kind of seems like they overdid it. Though I might appreciate the extra natural light if I were a tenant.

Yikes. When the renders came out quite a while back I thought that the design was pretty decent as far as generic high-rise towers go. But seeing it now? It gets a big fail.
Cidex just seems to have a hard-on for their spandrel. Their weirdly named "Hat at Five Corners" project here in Edmonton, while not a complete eyesore, is like a twenty-to-eighty glass/spandrel ratio.
OMG they have a project called ‘The Hat’ there too? They have 3 with that name here. That spandrel ratio isn’t as atrocious as ‘The Hat’ in East Village though.

I know! Before it was Lacaille raping the West End. Now Cidex seems to be giving them a run for their money. That crown turned out even worse than I thought it would and I was fully expecting another Nuera. It looks like Barad Dur.
The tower isn't too bad.. the podium is the real criminal.
The podium looks like Jabba’s palace and the crown like Barad Dur. The main tower and silhouette are ok but the most heinous sections are the ones that the most people interact with. The podium for pedestrians and the crown for the entire city to have their eyeballs assaulted by.
