Great News!!!

saludos

Synchronicity

Published on 22-05-2008 by Skyscrapernews.com
It appears that American Investors CIM Group and Spanish group Orange Investments could be going for a double whammy in Monterrey, Mexico with another skyscraper proposal.

Named Synchronicity, if built the project will stand at 140 metres, 90 metres shorter than the Founders Tower, another project the companies have also proposed for the city.

Like the founders Tower, the developers have used another local architect Michel Rodjkind to come up with the design that has two main vertical sections. The shorter of them is a glass block with horizontal banding but it's the second taller section that really establishes the projects appearance.

Breaking from the established convention, the main tower section looks like it is constructed using children's building blocks minus bright and bold coloured letters on the sides but it does include a slightly askew angle to it.

The facades are glass with white concrete adding a modernist touch that each small box making up the tower. Small projecting bays break the building line occasionally as it rises.

In places parts of the tower protrude lending further to its slightly precarious look. To the right of the building is a separate smaller building which continues the theme of "surely that's going to fall".

The complex will be multi use, featuring condominiums which will more than likely have the usual amenities such as pools, gymnasiums and other things to help while away the day, restaurants and leisure facilities will be included along with the ability to melt the platinum card in the shoe shops in the retail section of the project.

Still only at the proposal stage there is no start date for construction although locals should keep their eyes peeled for small children stacking bricks in the area just to be sure.
