Anime/Cartoon Skylines

I wonder if anyone EVER mention to the anime/cartoon or even video games city skylines? Anyway, my real question is.

Which one in the Anime/Cartoon/Video Games, or any that are not real city skyline is your favorite?

Mine would be the Neo Tokyo in Akira anime movie, and the Metropolis in the Metropolis anime movie.

Neo Tokyo in Akira movie

I TOTAL WISH this is REAL!

Metropolis in the Metropolis movie

I would say this is very futurstic(sp?) city skyline.

This is from the 5th element. It is not a cartoon and it does depict NY, but the rendering is so cartoonish and futuristic that it looks nothing like the real thing. Its nice.

This is from the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex series.

That series made absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Ghost in the Shell 2:Innocence if I recall correctly, and definately new port city from Stand Alone Complex.

Not a good picture. There were some great views during the first season, especially from a hotel room scene with a great skyline view and some views from above in helicopters.

I also recall cowboy bebop having an impressive skyline if im not mistaken.

The last two cities might want to invest in a little greenspace. I reckon i'd lose it within 10 minutes of visiting those places.

Metropolis again. not skyline, but meh.

Nice to see three of my favourite fictional cities on here though (Neotokyo, Metropolis, and the city from GITS)

Neo Tokyo during the destruction

EVEN after the destruction, Neo Tokyo is STILL BEAUTIFUL!

I captured those pictures from the movie "Akira" on my computer, that's how I got those pics hehe!

How about the NYC based Liberty City Skyline in GTA III

Or Miami Based Vice city in GTA Vice City

LA Based Los Santos for San Andreas

San Francisco Based San Firrero for San Andreas

And finally Las Vegas Based Las Venturas for San Andreas

Patrick, I don't want to be the grim reaper but this thread is for anime/cartoon cities.

Although if it's all the same with everyone, we could extend this thread into video game skylines as well... (minus the Sim City games, for obvious reasons)

ANY unrealistic skylines or city is fine here.
