I'd chip in for a nice plaque commemorating this if it meant the building could be demolished and replaced with a nice hi-rise.

Can't believe O'Calcutta is still around next door. Haven't been in there in probably 20 years but I can still sense the smell of the place.

3 different logos were installed on each side of the building, appears one of them to be "Greenwoods Dental surgery" which is currently located a few doors down. going on their website it appears they are huge practice and include pharmacy and medical clinic too. (this is 230 Portage Ave building)

Bell MTS signs are already off the newly MMF-acquired 333 Main.

Looks like the office to residential conversion at 175 Carlton is now done, or least partially done. The Alston Properties website now lists apartments as available to rent. Does anyone have more info?

Nice.

I wonder if the church would consider developing the property right at the corner of St. Mary and Hargrave. I know they floated that pie in the sky redevelopment scheme years ago now. But something smaller at the corner would fill the emptiness nicely.

Do you mean Carlton? Hargrave would be right on top of the church.

what a cute video! I always tell folks that Winnipeg is one of my favourite Canadian cities... it is very underrated in my opinion. I was pleasantly surprised when I spent time there. Great place.
