Yes, the house and Origami concepts are fantastic. I used to project some sheet metal car parts using this concept. The car concept Mille Miglia from BMW has the instrument panel for example entirely in this fold concept. Origami principles are: from a flat piece paper, without cut or at least minimal of it and no glue, just using fold of it, to have a very complex appearance form that resembles something and very singular structured. It is the basic idea very developed in Japan, where this art comes from. It is to have complex forms with simple fold principles. So this house get the feeling of it in a very small place to resemble that and having the garage below it, with minimal volume and walls. But i think the shape of the building simply is inspired by origami shapes, nothing else. you can see more here:
