Apparently they really paid attention to the forums.

I wonder when it will be released, the site says first quarter 2009, so it shouldn't be too long.

Its a pretty cool looking game. There getting close to launch now.

My main hope is that they have good mod tools and a region system similiar to simcity because 10x10, while much bigger than simcity 4, isn't nearly big enough to build a good city.

there has been extensive information and talks about regions. The answer is there will be no regions. 10x10 will be the biggest map you can have. There will be a thing such as Citylinks along the border which is where the interactions will come into play. Anything outside of the city will be treated in more of a business sense or traffic issue.

modding will probably happen, but it will be more of an iPod way where you would have to submit a mod to have it approved and formatted for the game.

By what I have seen they haven't specifically said that there will not be regions. They might do that for an expansion or perhaps the city link system can be used somewhat like regions.

I still hold out hope for regions. It seems like everyone is overwhelmingly pro-region.

From what I have read on their site, it sounds like there is no plans for regions in the game...which keep in mind that it is not simcity, thus it doesnt need to try to be simcity 5.

Instead of regions, the game will have much more interactiveness within the city as well as trading that happens outside of the city. But personally I never cared for regions, I would rather focus on my main city.

It doesn't feel like the city will be large enough though to be realistic. No suburbs. I would like regions to at least be an option.

As I understand it the MMO part of the game allows players to connect to other cities on a giant planet. If single player gives players a planet to play with then technically regions could be possible.

I just want options. I think putting in hard limits and being very particular about certain things is what killed Simcity Societies. Its hard not to refer to simcity seeing as it kinda sets the bar.

No mass transit for single player. I'll probably hold off on getting this one.
