We can surround the Domain with EaDo, NoDo, WeDo and SoDo. WeDo would be my favorite.

And when that area becomes larger than it can handle, it can be split into SoWeDo and NoWeDo(nt).

In all seriousness, I just took time to look this up a bit more. The address is 11604 Stonehollow Drive, which is just east of the Scwhab campus. Are there any plans to connect this area to all of the other development with an improved grid at some point? Even pedestrian connections and/or bike paths toward the Broadmoor/Domain would be an improvement. Otherwise folks would need to go to Metric or Gracy Farms and then work their way around.

What about GuiDo? Graphical User Interface Domain.

Lower Domain LoDo?
Upper Domain UpDo…

I really am over this naming fad.

As I sit in LoHi working.

The Domain was named after an internet construct: a “domain” name. I think it’d be a touch more unique to start naming projects after other internet constructs:

The Webpage
The Dot
The Com
Bandwidth
The 404
The Hotspot
The Address
The ÆURL
Influence
On-the-Line

So many fun things you could riff from.

The North Burnet Gateway plan calls for a new east/west road connecting Stonehollow to Burnet, and a new n/s corridor west of metric there

IMHO, this entire area needs to be better connected and more pedestrian friendly before people start referring to it as Austin's "second downtown".

Good, I thought there was something like that...I think I've seen this before. I also noticed that this is from 2009, so it needs a bit of updating with current buildings. Hopefully some of those connections will be prioritized in the relatively near future given all the growth in the area.

Very much agreed.

The heights of the Verde Square buildings are not yet listed in the site plan. But based on the available info, it could have three decent sized buildings. If multiple uses are in one building, it could reach the rezoned 308' height.

Anybody have any information on this project?

https://www.bdcnetwork.com/first-pha...d-austin-texas

It's being built next to the Gold's gym at 183/burnet. The renderings show it being 5 stories, but the parking garage core that's being built looks exceptionally tall, like 8 stories or more. Is there some sort of office tower component as part of this project?

Not sure of any component other than residential, but you're right. Very tall parking garage already.

^^ The address for this one is 9127 Research Blvd., Austin, TX 78758.

I'm excited to see more development south of the Domain. Hopefully more like this will help to stitch together the North Burnet corridor and Domain/Uptown areas.

The Bowen turned out really nice IMO. It's a little squat and kind of looks like the base of a taller building, but the brick makes a huge contribution to the glass shoeboxes of the Domain skyline.

Per the site plan Domain Central Tower 1 will be 29-stories with ~7.5 Sq. Ft. ground floor retail and ~545K Sq. Ft. office space plus structured parking. It'll get the 400' ZC which will be roof height. So this could be up to ~420'.

Are there renderings for this? Also wondering where exactly this will go. I can't find anything on Google.

There are no elevations or renderings yet. The site is mostly the large surface lot next to Nordstrom's. The site also includes a one story building that will apparently be demo'ed.

Damn, that's a beast for the domain! Get a few more of these in there and hopefully the ceiling will be lifted even more. 600+ footer one day!?
