Chiayi City 嘉義市 is a city in southern Taiwan. The population is around 270,000 with a density of 4500/km2. The pis are taken by my friend Ken. Enjoy

Those Japanese shrine structures aren't the main building. Too bad, the the main building of the shrine was burnt down in 1994... It was one of the few well kept shrines in Taiwan. Actually only 2 survived up to 1990's. The other one is in Taoyuan.
