Sacramento looks great, but what I love most about California is the Pacific Coast. So I'm quite diggin the photos of coastal city, Santa Cruz!

Beautiful photos ColDayMan. Also, Old Sacramento certainly reminds many people where this state came from and how we should not forget our past.

I have to admit I haven't spent enough time in either of these towns and your photos make me feel like an idiot for that.

Wow Chris.... Some of these shots are stunning. The nature shots especially are so colorful and clear my eyes are bleeding. Nicework. Your skillz are apparent.

These are some of the best Sacramento photos I've seen. I'm glad you captured old Sacramento too. Many outsiders don't realize there is a lot of history in the small towns in that region, and many of those buildings reminded me of a few I've been through in that area.

Also Santa Cruz looks better than I remember, but since I perfer Carmel, and Monterey over SC, it wouldn't be fair for me to make judgement on the entire city.

Cool shots. Too bad you missed the jazz jubilee though. Old Sac gets down on Memorial Day!

ColDayMan, great photo thread.

I can't remember when I last visited Santa Cruz and you did a wonderful job capturing both cities.

Someone please explain to me why I've never seen these great buildings in any thread done by a Sactown native? Did I just miss the thread? I sure hope so. Excellent work CalDayMan.
