MIAMI | CitizenM Brickell (15 SE 10th Street) | 277 FT | 21 FLOORS

Quote:
CitizenM Hotels recently updated their website with a new rendering of a hotel planned for Brickell.

According to the website, the new hotel would have 252 rooms, and will boast beautiful views of Biscayne Bay.

Renderings show a building with about 20 floors, covered in supergraphics. There also appears to be a rooftop restaurant or lounge.

It seems likely that it is planned to be built on the Perricone’s Marketplace property in Brickell.

Last fall, CitizenM Miami Brickell Properties paid $16.18 million for the 10,965-square-foot Perricone’s site. At the time, a broker said the new hotel would have 250 rooms.

CitizenM Moving Forward With Plan To Demolish Perricone’s In Brickell, Build 252-Room Hotel

Quote:
Netherlands-based hotel chain CitizenM is making preparations to demolish Perricone’s Marketplace in Brickell, replacing it with a hotel.

On October 4, the company finalized a deal with Miami-Dade County to supply water and sewer utilities to the site for the new hotel.

According to the agreement, the entire 4,447-square-foot restaurant building currently on the site will be demolished. It will be replaced with a 252-room hotel, along with 4,218 square feet of retail space (no restaurant space is listed in the new agreement).

On September 25, CitizenM applied for a tree permit with the city of Miami. The application states that six trees are to be relocated. It was denied by the Environmental Resources department on October 4.

CitizenM purchased the Perricone’s property in September 2017 for $16.1 million.

Revealed: Full Plans For Recently Approved CitizenM Hotel Set To Replace Perricones In Brickell

Quote:
CitizenM Hotels recently won approval to build a hotel at the Perricone’s Market property in Brickell.

Now, those plans are being revealed for the first time, along with a list of the waivers and conditions of approval.

Gensler is the architect of record for the hotel, city documents state.

The proposal calls for a 21-story, 277-foot tower with 252 lodging units and 4,174 square feet of commercial space at the ground level.

Hotel rooms will be micro-sized, starting at just 157 square feet.

Several setback waivers were granted. A 30 percent reduction in parking has also been permitted, due to the proximity of transit. Yet another waiver allows for parking to be provided offsite.

Perricones will remain open at the site longer than originally expected. CitizenM will allow the restaurant to stay through at least February, as they work to finish the permitting and pre-construction process, according to a social media post.

Looks like a high rise ripped straight out of Latin America... which I guess kind of makes sense. I personally like its quirkiness

CITIZENM GETS PERMIT TO BEGIN FOUNDATION WORK AT FORMER PERRICONE’S SITE IN BRICKELL

Quote:
Contractor Suffolk Construction has been issued a permit to begin work on the foundation of the CitizenM hotel planned for Brickell, city records show.

The permit was issued June 18. A tree permit was issued earlier in the month but then denied following a revision.

CitizenM Brickell will include a 21-story, 277-foot tower with 252 lodging units and 4,174 square feet of commercial space at the ground level. Gensler is the architect.

Hotel rooms will be micro-sized, starting at just 157 square feet.

Records show that CitizenM is also requesting expedited review of their construction permit at Miami Worldcenter, where they plan another hotel. A foundation permit is pending as of mid-June. Suffolk is also the contractor there.
