Can you find an animal more intelligent than a rat? The fact that, despite a myriad of exterminations world wide, they still flourish! Now that's intelligence!

A number of them keep them as pets today, and they're deeply loved. I was surprised to learn that you can even leash-train a rat, and walk it around your neighborhood. I've had ferrets for 26 years, and all have been leash-trained, but too many people see me walking them, they think they're rats!

Out on my deck at the moment grilling up some sweet potatoes and I just saw a rat scurry down the alley in back and then sneak under the fence under the el tracks.

Certainly not the first time.

Certainly won't be the last.
If a Pizza is baked in a forest, and no one is around to eat it, is it still delicious?
