My parents have a 23rd floor balcony and it gets very windy. Things blow over but never up and away, I'm no scientist but the wind wraps around the building or goes toward it so I don't know if it's a huge issue. I guess if it was tornado-like conditions maybe, but you got bigger problems to worry about in that case.

I'm more curious why they didn't end up with balconies on the north side. Wonder if those will be cheaper units with no balcony, or part of bigger ones that span the north and east/west sides where the balconies are for those units.

What do they do in a place with very tall residential buildings like Toronto? Do they limit how high balconies can go?
I am not aware of any height limit for balconies in Toronto. For example, One Bloor (East) has balconies into the 70s'

2 of the 3 live cams haven't been updated in like 10 days. Anyone know what's up?

Has the building hit its max height yet or is there any further to go?

I believe there is still another 35-45 ft left to go for the steel penthouse and mechanical.

They are still disassembling the slip form system. Unknown when it’ll be done. Everything structural is on hold til then.

Finishes are still incomplete on third.

Marwest has apparently been ordered by Artis to hire consultants to tell them how to organize themselves and execute an expedited schedule. Not a joke.

They should've been doing that about 3 years ago.

The process of the removal of the Doka platform started on Mar 22.

3 weeks for scaffolding
3 weeks for platform removal
2 weeks for scaffolding removal.

Should be complete around May 10.

Then steel can be placed again.

The new management has stepped in from the hostile take over. They are trying to regain some financial control of this project. Notwithstanding there were huge losses in the Alberta market, this residential project was viewed as a vanity project by shareholders helping to remove the founding family of the REIT. Very unfortunate for them and Winnipeg.

Things have not been the same since the late Del Crewson left the Artis board.

I saw a lot of crane work happening yesterday. I think its hard to tell with the scaffolding, but most of the slip form is dismantled. Maybe we'll get some more steel in the coming weeks?
