A Tropical Home project using Sketchup

Hi....

Sketchup is really amazing! I started learning sketchup self-taught in just 3 weeks. I just recently did some a sketchup model for a project that I've been doing few days back, I hope I can share some with you.

I can show you more if you want.

Wow you are a fast learner. Either that or you have a ton of time on your hands. Very impressive with what you have done. Love the pool concept.

WOW!! I've been using sketchup for a few months now and couldn't do that. Do you have experience with other 3d programs?

No my hands were all tied up with examination just yester weeks ago. Well it's quite simple, I just spent only 3 hours a day on Sketchup and just play around with it. No I do not have any experience with other 3D softwares. This is my first time doing 3D.

That is a really nice looking house with extreme detail. Very nice work!

Imagine a SketchUp city with every room in every building complete to this detail. Now that would be a city!

Well the stairs is quite tedious... All you have to do is simply draw a circle of a radius of 1 meter, then simply calculate how many steps it takes to go up to the second floor. (So that the stais lands to the second floor accurately) Once its done, then simply draw "pie lines" and just push pull.

Well if you have a PC with good specs, it **should** be able to handle almost everything you did in sketchup. However, even with 4GB of RAM and 512MB graphics card, it still can rip the memory hell out of my computer.

I remembered I did another sketchup project that was over 150mb.

Well the lights, they were rendered in photoshop. I exported the best camera view of a room and simply "snap" that view. I recommend that you export at a high resolution like around 6000 pixels... Then you have maximum quality control. When you resize it, there'll be less thicker contour outlines visible.
