It looks like the groundbreaking was pushed out three or four months. A permit for right-of-way closures for construction indicates that this will start at the end of October.

This project is good to go. But has anyone noticed if site prep has started? There were a bunch of construction related permits filed today.

Five more permits were filed today related to utilities and excavation. So this one has to be starting soon.

Noticed the other day this parking lot is blocked off. Looks like they are getting ready to dig.

They've put up more permanent construction barriers around this now and have closed off 17th St. on this block. They've been digging up the road today to do utility work but I expect they'll begin demo of the parking lot soon.

The tower crane is scheduled to go up the weekend of 12/06-12/09.

There have been a lot of permits filed related to utilities which may be the reason for the apparent groundbreaking delay.

I always thought the the Hilton garden inn chain was more suburban. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I stayed at one once and it was literally a 3 story building with courtyards.

I think that's mostly true, except for the mid-rise versions like this one.
