Building is awesome and i hope it gets built, still, its kind of skinny, its like those New York toothpick towers sort of. I'll still like Sears more but its still cool
It has to be thin to preserve the protected view corridor of Tribune Tower from the Ogden Slip

so the tower will rise only on the Norther 1/2 of this lot.

Yea I can't read most of it either, but from what I can it's heading to the city for approval, which we already knew for a while. Hopefully there's some new and exciting news in there.
It more or less says that it is going to the commission next week. I guess Crains also reached out to the development team to see if the recent pandemic/economic downturn will impact their proposal but did not receive a reply. Nothing of interest really.

Tribune Tower skyscraper set for Plan Commission
A plan to develop Chicago's second-tallest building could move a key step closer to city approval next week.
The developers that want to build Chicago's second-tallest tower could clear a key hurdle next week in their push to win city approval for the project.
Chicago-based Golub and Los Angeles-based CIM Group are slated to present their vision to the Chicago Plan Commission on April 30 for a 1,442-foot tall hotel and residential skyscraper immediately east of Tribune Tower.
A green light from the commission could vault the supertall project forward for consideration by the Chicago City Council and bring a tower that would alter the Chicago skyline closer to reality. But it's unclear how soon the developers would forge ahead amid questions about how much long-term damage the coronavirus crisis will cause the economy. Spokesmen for Golub and CIM couldn't be reached.
The developers originally unveiled plans for the project at 421-451 N. Michigan Ave. two years ago as part of a broader redevelopment of Tribune Tower. They are well underway turning the landmark 36-story building into luxury condos and want to develop the slim, 113-story tower, dubbed Tribune Tower East, on an adjacent parking lot.
The initial skyscraper plan drew concerns from nearby Streeterville residents about added congestion from the tower's proposed 439 apartments, 200 hotel rooms and 125 condos. The developers presented a revised version of the plan in November that maintained the building's height but changed the way people and vehicles would get to, around and through the building.

Wow good find on that! Building is gonna be so awesome. You'd think they'd be so excited and happy to just go higher than sears's roof height but its totally fine. Numbers are just numbers anyways, and this is gonna be one tall ass tower haha
Too bad it will be super super long till its finished being built. Being excited about new skyscrapers is a horrible thing, because everything moves in crazy slow motion
“Office buildings are our factories – whether for tech, creative or traditional industries we must continue to grow our modern factories to create new jobs,” said United States Senator Chuck Schumer.
