Not the biggest fan of the design or massing of 167 green but looks to be well executed at least

When I see photos Harry takes with almost no one in the streets I imagine him out taking photos like this:

Instead he's probably closer to this:

Thanks for all the great photos during these weird times.

Yeah it seems incredibly bulky right now but only because it's surrounded by puny little 2-3 story buildings (some landmarked). As the area fills in with tall buildings, though, I think 167 will seem less out-of-scale and be appreciated for the unique touches at street level, like the mid-block arcade they are planning.

With the bumper-to-bumper traffic on Lake and Halsted and the aggro Uber drivers on other side streets, it'll be nice to have public space in this neighborhood that isn't dominated by cars. The planned makeover of Randolph should help as well.

Speaking of street makeovers, Chicago Ave is well on the way with it's bus lanes now, with colors and markings and hanging signs to designate they lanes. Once things get back to normal, it'll be interesting to see how much that helps. Especially once all the projects between the River and State Street complete in a couple years.

I hope someone puts a new full-service grocery store somewhere near Erie and Franklin by the time Whole Foods moves from Huron to State and Chicago. Currently it's the closest grocery store to me, but once it moves, I won't have a grocery store within 5 minutes walking from me anymore, which is annoying. Maybe Bockwinkles or Potash will locate in the old space or maybe something will get built into whatever gets built on the lot at Huron and Orleans.

That is somewhat accurate; GC was kicked off the job and another subcontractor abandoned the project after making a math error it appears. The developer brought in a new GC who had us re-price that particular scope. We came in at $2 million more than the original price, and I think it would be difficult for the owner to distribute that burden on his existing contracts, which are at 25%. They are in quite a pickle.

To think just a month ago, the market was so hot that this project was simply a victim of contractors having 'too much' work. Thanks, China!

LOL awesome.

Seriously, Harry and Pearson(from the OKC thread) are probably the two people who should get the most credit for keeping these threads full of interesting pictures.

Awesome photos. Odd to see no construction cranes in the sky from that angle. Guess we'll have to wait for 1000M.
