With the bumper-to-bumper traffic on Lake and Halsted and the aggro Uber drivers on other side streets, it'll be nice to have public space in this neighborhood that isn't dominated by cars. The planned makeover of Randolph should help as well.

Speaking of street makeovers, Chicago Ave is well on the way with it's bus lanes now, with colors and markings and hanging signs to designate they lanes. Once things get back to normal, it'll be interesting to see how much that helps. Especially once all the projects between the River and State Street complete in a couple years.
I hope someone puts a new full-service grocery store somewhere near Erie and Franklin by the time Whole Foods moves from Huron to State and Chicago. Currently it's the closest grocery store to me, but once it moves, I won't have a grocery store within 5 minutes walking from me anymore, which is annoying. Maybe Bockwinkles or Potash will locate in the old space or maybe something will get built into whatever gets built on the lot at Huron and Orleans.
