That is so true with all the projects under construction, and the proposed projects in this town.

Does the Derby have a parking podium? Because of it does that might be the reason their only on the 4th level.

Yeah it has 5 levels of parking, which takes a few weeks per floor with all the different slops and elevations. The first residential level will be 7, which is also the amenity deck. Then 8 through 20 are the standard floor plate and should go up fast, probably 1 floor every 7-9 days. Then level 21 might take slightly longer since its the penthouse.

Derby will be L shaped like Kennect. Once the parking garage is done, the remainder will go up as fast as ASU went up.

That makes sense ASU is also L shaped with no parking podium and it went up pretty fast.

Nice! Can't wait for Derby because of the gap it fills in the skyline.

It's nice to see the Derby moving along but man, this project is moving very slow.

I agree, at least it's rising faster than the Pier in Tempe. I'm glad it still happened though after all the setbacks it faced.

I am downtown about every other week right now and it gets noticeably taller each time I see it, so it is gaining momentum, albeit slowly.

Does anyone have any idea how much room remains before they will need to raise the crane on this project? The luffing crane seems to give more clearance than a tower crane, but it still seems like the project would be getting reasonably close to needing more clearance.

I am guessing very soon. It's got to the point where the penthouse is higher than the operator booth. I would think they tower crane operator needs to have a clear view of the entire structure. I was actually thinking they would have raised it over the weekend because of this.

Okay, that makes sense. I haven't seen it up close in a while so its hard to gauge the perspective the operator might have. I'm looking forward to seeing it boost up. Thanks Crested!

Some progress photos from today. The sun wasn't cooperating with me for any of them, so sorry for the poor quality.

Will that one go any taller? I bet Mat has been losing a lot of sleep over it.
