I fired up the detailed city project over the weekend and a did a little more work. I don't think this is going to be regularly updated as I have too much on at the moment (work, moving house and other stuff).
Anyway here's a couple of new views looking along 5th Street - these buildings make up a row extending along the street from the car lot at the corner of Wiltshire and 5th. I particularly like 'Dragons Lair' comic shop and all things SciFi, I'd frequent that if I lived in this city!
What is there to say besides the fact that this city is absolutely perfect? I can only imagine the lag, or is there no lag?! I will be following this city very closely

That street level is amazing!!!! I actually like the contrast of an uber american urban scene with French, Italian and German cars. That's what my ideal future looks like.
I opened up the detailed city model last night and did a render of a section I hadn't posted before. Forgotten how much I loved this project.
Maybe one day I'll return to it when the mood takes me!

Fartz? lol this city is incredible! I would probably give up halfway through, or it would lag heaps! I love how it's a gritty city rather than shiny metal and glass!

The lights were actually a post pro cheat, but as they were internal they didn't affect anything visible. I even added a slight reflective strip of light to the car windscreen in Photoshop too, just to try and emphasis them. If i do get time I will return to this city, it still inspires.
I've started resuming work on this city once more. Updates maybe rather random!
I've added a sleek glass box - 114m high, 74 Somerset, fairly bland 90s architecture, but one of the cities taller buildings. I'm currently working on some
renders which I hope to post once I have some free time, now in short supply.
Outstanding!! The contrast between the glass tower and the older structures is not only beautiful, but it's also something I could very well imagine seeing in real life.
What do you think about adding a bit more vegetation on the sidewalks? In my SU models I've found that really seems to give the model a bit more life
Great to see this continued! That glass box is just the kind of architecture I like and it fits the spot perfectly. It looks more like 00's design than something from the 90's, though. It has a really nice contrast to the older buildings.
Thanks guys, I agree with you Boise, some trees will definitely help breathe more life and soul into the city. I'll need to plan which streets will incorporate these.
You can't get more awesome than this. The people fit in perfectly. It feels like I'm actually standing on the sidewalk with them... and for the record, I love the Pear advertisement.
