The look on some of those people's faces + the context makes them seem like they have some kind of dramatic personality disorder.

I LOL'd. So true though! You can always count on the old to stomp on great proposals in favour of the garbage that often already occupies the potential sites.

-Too bad the chicago spire wasn't proposed for Toronto.

I take it from the above demo-graph of members, this YQNA is a NIMBY gang of some sort... Anyone notice a glaring consistent trait for most of the members? AGE

Seniors are the enemy of progress. I'm only kidding about the enemy thing... Or am I ..

Wow, simply awesome. Will be fantastic to look at this addition to the skyline from the island and east.

One quick question though. With so many towers in the complex, they can't all have the address 'One Yonge St' can they?

The actual address of the development is 1,3,5 and 7 Yonge Street

Wasn't this supposed to be 98 floors, 92 floors, etc? There's even another thread with 98 floors in the header.

Yes, before the final plans were submitted to the city, there was a rendering, released by a former employee at Hariri Pontaranri with the 98 floor design. That plan was not submitted to the city. However we got wind of it, and used it to start the thread here.

Looks stunning. Its success will really depend on material quality though. Would be awesome if it included an office/retail atrium.

The floor space of 7 Yonge interests me, because it looks like it's vertically bigger compared to the neighbors. Maybe this tower will break the 300m mark? :3

Incredible project.

Jealous, wish these two tower were building built in New York.

Toronto based Oxford is building an even bigger complex in New York called Hudson Yards. I believe a subsidiary of Toronto based Brookfield is building some large towers in New York as well. I do like these 1 Yonge designs though.

The tallest tower in the new rendering sure beats the placeholder design.
