The bulldozed area is in preparation for Phase 3 (and more, it would appear).
Phase 3 will see the construction of 4 new mixed used (mostly residential) buildings.

In the last post on this from early summer, the steel for the new building under construction was just rising.

The existing 3 story building (formerly a bank) is being renovated.
The new construction - for The Clara Luper Center - is nearly structurally complete now.

The Benz Building (a former Mercedes dealership converted to office space) is all but finished now.
The anchor tenant, Hogan Taylor, has moved in.
