Yes, they’re basically neighbors.

Yes. That is the densest part of Houston. I wonder if there is an overall density map of the metro?

Is One Market still going to be built or languish as a parking garage for ever?

I think they’re waiting for a healthy lease commitment.

Seems like Gulfton would be prime real estate. It's next to Bellaire, which is super pricey. I have mixed emotions about it, though. Gulfton provides homes for thousands of low income families, but that whole area could also be redeveloped. I don't know if there are plans for Gulfton's future or not.

prolly whoever has the guts to develop something nice there.... that would set in motion gentrification.

Some skyline shots and a piece of news from ekdrm2d1 on HAIF:

Skyline ekdrm2d1

609 Main St ekdrm2d1

1801 Main St Downtown Amegy Building Parking Garage

Quote:
$13 million 7-story garage building permit isssued.
To be built on the current surface of the Amegy office building. Maybe this means the office building will get renovated while the parking garage eats up another surface lot.

I think that would be the space reserved for the Helix Tower from a few years back, hopefully still twisty when it eventually emerges.

Should be interesting to watch from the McGovern Gardens - especially from the mount there. When the midrise complex went up next to The Parklane a few years back, I thought it was about time for something new. Adding two more highrises will make an interesting addition to the Hermann Park skyline.

I forgot about the Helix Tower! Museum district getting a nice handful of mid rises.
